Strategy 1: Giftdrop - Gift service to introduce and gain confidence in the fleet technology
Giftdrop is a service that enables people to purchase a gift for their loved one who is travelling. The traveller will be surprised by this gift at his arrival, where the fleet bagrunner technology will be used as a carrier to hand over the gift. The gift is composed and packed by the local shops in the airport, reducing unnecessary air transport of goods. This strategy enables Vanderlande to proof their fleet bagrunner technology and gain confidence from airports for further exploitation. Additionally, airports can enhance their travelling experience and shops can profit from online sales.
Strategy 2: Vanderlande as seamless and safe travelling enabler
Standardized luggage items with integrated blockchain technology. Benefit for Vanderlande: more effective luggage handling, and becoming the 'essential' infrastructure for multi-stakeholder collaborations in the transport sector. The sector collaborates to offer seamless travelling, in which luggage is separated from the traveller. Vanderlande logs the luggage data, such as weight and the key, to ensure security throughout the process.
