Food-as-a-service for people with pre-diabetes
This service study explored how Jumbo, as supermarket chain, can facilitate and support their customers with pre-diabetes to adopt and sustain a healthier diet. Exploration of the thoughts and emotions that customers encounter during dietary change revealed five windows of opportunities for supermarkets to offer support. These opportunities formed the basis for co-design of a portfolio of service concepts that also led to a set of associated strategic advices. This thesis advocates for viewing diet as a solution to reduce, delay and prevent diet-related diseases. How? By customizing food services by means of precision nutrition.
Have a look at the work to find out how integration of precision nutrition services can benefit customers, society and business results!
