Nudging people to eat the healthier version of themselves: a win-win for supermarkets and clients.

Supermarket chain Jumbo offers their customers a nutrition self-test kit. The tests assesses various diet-related health metrics, such as vitamins and trace elements. Based on the health outcomes, Jumbo offers their customers food advices, discounts and recipes that are tailored to the customer's nutritional status, empowering him to make mindful food decisions and to manage his health better. By proving services tailored to ones personal health, Jumbo binds his customers. Loyal customers are provided a new test every 3 to 4 months.

 

The service is a collaboration with local hospitals and diagnostic centres. A customer collects the kit at a local Jumbo store. All that is needed is a AH card, a DigiD and a small drop of blood. So learn about your nutritional health and eat the healthier version of yourself!
